Taipei 2

Taipei ain't bad. I'm pretty sure I have a bad habit of judging before I actually experience it. That is why I haven't updated since I arrived here. I knew my negative feelings would subside sooner or later. So I am here.
Days are long. Generally we do about 8 or 9 castings in about 8 or 9 hours MONDAY to FRIDAY. They are big on that pose dance thing which I have no choice but to learn to love. The beginnings of any new custom are usually a bit uncomfortable.
Today was the 1st day I had castings and they went well. I made a pact with myself to just to my absolute best for the next week and see what comes out of it... no expectation. Luck must have been on my side today because I went out for a TV commercial. It went extremely well... my niche. Somehow I was fortunate enough to get to a Chanel runway casting even though all the other girls were mostly over 5'10 and approximately 100lbs. Needless to say, it was not as successful as the TVC audition, however, they gave me the time of day and I got to wear a Chanel suit so I remain grateful!
Taipei is nowhere near comparison in flashiness to Hong Kong but it is still a pretty city, especially the further out you drive (the mountains look like broccoli farms...LOL). I live downtown Taipei, so it's pretty much concrete heaven. And I have yet to discover a nice park to relax in.

That is it for now.

My IPOD is the best thing in the history of things.

This is my roommate Andrew from Hungary. He is showing us that Starbucks is now for sale in TO GO containers at 7/11. NEAT!
